Lafreniere Will Defend His
Canadian Championship Oct. 24

MONTRÉAL —— The Montrealer Francis Lafrenière, who has Howard Grant and Otis Grant as trainers at the Monster Gym in Dorval, in the West island of Montréal, will defend his Canadian middleweight championship October 24th at the Gilles-Tremblay Sports Centre in Repentigny. Repentigny is a Montréal East suburb.

Lafrenière (9-5-2) will face Aubrey Morrow (8-1-2), from Qualicum, British Columbia, in a 10 rounds bout. Lafrenière is detaining this title since 2014. “I need to beat Morrow, but I want to have participation to a North American championship.”

Otis Grant said: “This boxing show is focus on the prospects of the Canadian boxing. It’s an important moment for them.”

The super middleweight Erik Bazinyan (9-0-0), also from Montréal, will be involved in that boxing show, but his opponent has been not determined yet.

The veteran Montrealer middleweight Renan St-Juste (25-4-1) will face the Jamaican Devon Moncrieffe (12-5-0) in a eight rounders presented before the fight Lafrenière-Morrow.
