St-Juste vs. Lafrenière

MONTRÉAL - The promoter of the InterBox group, Jean Bédard,
confirmed that the semi-final of his January 30th boxing
show at Bell Centre in Montréal, will involved the
Montrealer middleweight Renan St-Juste. St-Juste (26-4-1), a
southpaw who was ranked in the Top 10 in the world in 2011
in the 160 pounds division, will face the Canadian
middleweight champion, Francis Lafrenière (10-5-2), another
Montrealer who is training by Howard and Otis Grant at the
Monster Gym in Dorval, in the West Island of Montréal.
The main event of this boxing show will be a world
championship bout. The Russian Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1), the
WBA, WBO and IBF light heavyweight champion of the world,
will give a rematch to the former WBC light heavyweight
champion of the world, the Montrealer Jean Pascal (30-3-1).
Kovalev is persuaded that he will beat Pascal before the
eight round this time.
In the first match up between these two fighters, last March
in Montréal, Kovalev made to the first successful defence of
his triple crowns, in beating Pascal by TKO in the eighth
round. It was the first time that Pascal was losing by TKO
in his boxing career.
Pascal has the conviction that he will beat Kovalev in this
rematch. Pascal believes he did not fight well strategically
in the first match up, and he will do it in this rematch.
