  Return Of Jose Haro

By Justin Hughes

Corner 2 Corner Promotions presented the Judgment Day night of fights at the Riverbend Sports Center on Saturday, April 23, 2016. For the main event, Jose “Pepito” Haro made his return to the ring after his recovery from being shot in both feet. He faced a challenging South Paw, Raymond “Bad Boy” Chacon. Both fighters got in some great shots and the bout ended after 6 rounds with a unanimous decision of 60/54 with Jose “Pepito” Haro as the winner.

After the fight, Jose, shared the following with me:

“I’m very grateful to be able to be inside the ring and sharing with a great fighter like my opponent. I do believe everything happens for a reason and I think my body just needed a rest. I’ll probably start traveling again. I love fighting in Utah but to get to the next level, need to fight outside of Utah. I want to thank everyone who was there for me in my down time and everybody who has supported me through my career. My wife, kids, parents, family and friends.”

The co-main event included Jesse “Wild” West and debuting Nick Rossenborough. Nick brought MMA experience to the ring but it was no match for the years of boxing experience shown by Jesse.

This bout ended at 2:52 of the 3rd round. TKO win for Jesse “Wild” West. Jesse stated that his next fight will be for a local title in the next few months.
