Stevenson vs. Williams Date
Moved To July 29

MONTRÉAL — The WBC light heavyweight championship of the
world opposing the Montrealer southpaw Adonis Stevenson and
the American Thomas Williams Jr. was scheduled originally
for July 29th, and after July 16th, and the fight is now
back to the original date, July 29th.
Yvon Michel, the promoter of the GYM Group, is supposed to
confirm it Monday in a press conference hold in Québec City.
This 12 rounds bout televised by Showtime, will be presented
at the Videotron Centre in Québec City.
For Stevenson (27-1-0), it will be a seventh defense of his
world title, a title he won in 2013 at Bell Centre in
Montréal, in beating the American Chad Dawson by KO in the
first round.
Williams (20-1-0) become the mandatory challenger for
Stevenson April 30th, in Carson, California, when he beat
the Dominican Edwin Rodriguez (28-2-0) by TKO in less than
three rounds. It was an elimination bout ordered by the WBC
championship committee.
