Lafrenière vs. Cotroni For The
Middleweight Canadian Championship

MONTRÉAL — The promoter of the GYM Group in Montréal, Yvon Michel, confirmed that the main event of his next boxing show, September 20th at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre (beside the Olympic Stadium), will oppose two Montrealers in a middleweight (160 pounds) Canadian championship, Francis Lafrenière (19-7-2) and Francesco Cotroni (12-11-1)

Before the main event, the Montrealer super middleweight (168 pounds) Jan-Michael Poulin (6-1-2) will face Dany Croteau (5-2-3), from Gatineau, Québec, and the cruiserweight (190 pounds) Francis Charbonneau (2-1-0), from Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, will challenge the Montrealer Alexandre Barrière, who will make his pro debut.

A heavyweight bout will oppose the Montrealers Hugo Girard and Patrick Côté (0-1-0). Girard, who never disputed a boxing fight, is a specialist of strong men competition, and Cöté is normally a UFC fighter.

The others fighters in action will be: Wilfried Seyi (6-0-0), a Montrealer super middleweight coming from Cameroun, Africa, the Montrealer super welterweight (154 pounds)( Hamza Khabbaz, the heavyweight Montrealer southpaw Alexis Barrière (5-2-0) and Adam Duczka, a Montrealer fighter from UFC who has decided to try his chance in boxing.
