Lemieux & Kean Won’t Fight
April 17th In Québec City

MONTRÉAL - Ranked second contender by the WBC in the super
middleweight (168 pounds) division, ranked third contender
by the WBA and the WBO, the Montrealer David Lemieux was
supposed to be involved in the main event of the boxing show
that the promoter Camille Estephan, from The Eye Of The
Tiger Management Group in Montréal, was planning to present
April 17th at the Vidéotron Centre in Québec City, But
Estephan confirmed that this boxing show is cancelled.
“This boxing show is cancelled, because fighters from others
countries who were supposed to fight on my boxing show April
17th, are not allowed to come in Canada actually, because
the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Estephan . When this pandemic
is resolved, I will work to re-schedule this boxing show.”
Lemieux (42-4-0) and the heavyweight Simon Kean (19-1-0),
from Trois-Rivières, Québec, were training to fight in the
two main fights of this boxing show. Both hope to know soon
when they will be able to fight.
