In a very unpopular decision, Stephen Fulton (22-1, 8 KO’s)
was awarded a Split Decision over Carlos Castro (30-3, 14
KO’s) in a hotly contested and entertaining Featherweight
fight. No question about it, this fight was very close.
Castro put Fulton down with a sharp right hand in round
five, but Fulton was able to gather himself and comeback
strong in the latter rounds. The fight went the ten round
distance and was put into the judges’ hands. Final scores
read 95-94 for Castro and 96-93 & 95-94 for Fulton.
On his victory Fulton stated, "I feel strong at this weight,
I just needed to get the ring rust out of the way. Castro is
a great Mexican warrior, so shout out to him."
In a Welterweight slugfest, Roiman Villa (26-3, 24 KO’s)
tasted a one-two combo from Ricardo Salas (20-2-2, 15 KO’s)
in round three and it didn’t please his palette. Those
punches sent Villa to the mat, and he was not able to beat
the 10 count. It as bombs away from the start and it was
clear this fight was not go the distance. That worked out
well for Salas who put an end to the fight at the 2:06 mark
of round three.
A clash of heads opened a gash over the right eye of Geo
Lopez (17-0, 12 KO’s) early in the fight, but that did not
stop him fom pounding out a unanimous decision over Richard
Medina (15-3, 8 KO’s) in this eight round Super
Featherweight battle. Lopez, who dropped Medina with a
straight left hand late in round eight, was in complete
command of the fight from top to bottom. Final scores read
80-71 across the board.
Yoenli Hernandez (5-0, 5 KO’s) kept his 100% KO ratio intact
as he dispatched Jose Sanchez Charles (21-6-1, 12 KO’s) in
round 2 of this Middleweight bout.
Lawrence King (17-1, 14 KO’s) TKO’d Vaughn Williams (12-2, 8
KO’s) in round two of this early Light Heavyweight
attraction. Time of stoppage came at the 2:15 mark.
Super Middleweight Bek Nurmaganbet (12-0, 10 KO’s) opened
the show by stopping Joshua Conley (17-7-1, 11 KO’s) at the
2:34 mark of the second round.
