EOTTM Opts For Gala In Russia Featuring
Artem Oganesyan & Ivan Kozlovsky May 21

Although the Eye of the Tiger Management boxing gala which was scheduled for April 17 at the Videotron Center in Quebec City has been canceled, Camille Estephan and his team did not waste a second to find new opportunities for their boxers. Indeed, Artem Oganesyan (12-0-0, 10 K.-O.) as well as the amazing new Russian tiger, Ivan Kozlovsky (2-0-0, 1 K.-O.), will return to the arena in Moscow on May 21, live on Punching Grace.

Oganesyan who is the current WBO Youth World Super welterweight title holder will simply have seen his return to action postponed for a month as he tries to remain undefeated in his thirteenth pro outing. The one nicknamed "Razor" will face, as usual, a tough opponent who will allow him to climb the rankings to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming a world champion. Considering the current epidemiological context, EOTTM has no choice but to present events in different places around the world. This boxing gala in Russia, broadcast live on Punching Grace, therefore represents the short-term solution found by the organization, allowing its boxers to continue their careers and still provide good shows to viewers during this pandemic. “Despite the pitfalls we encountered, we continue to work hard to provide quality boxing to fans through Punching Grace. It is also very important for us to keep our boxers active. We are certainly disappointed that we cannot host these two duels in Quebec, but we are still happy to allow our tigers to remain active. Oganesyan and Kozlovsky are spectacular, talented young boxers who need to see action quickly. They will eventually bring tremendous excitement to boxing fans around the world,” said Eye of the Tiger Management President, Camille Estephan.

Ivan Kozlovsky, on the other hand, is a young boxer with a lot of amateur experience. With a record of 262 victories and only 8 defeats in Olympic boxing, Kozlovksy won the world champion title in 2013 in addition to making a name for himself in the European championship. Although this is only his third professional fight, the 23-year-old will face Adam Kipenga (11-1-0, 7 KOs) in a championship fight for the WBC belt of Asia. Kipenga is a dangerous slugger who has only been defeated once against an undefeated 12-fight boxer, Rajesh Khumar.

“Kozlovsky has a lot of Olympic boxing experience and is very strong technically. He performed quite well in his last fight, with a knockout against Hamisi Maya in a duel scheduled for 8 rounds. He proved to us that he was ready for a title even though he only has 2 pro fights. If he wins on May 21, he will quickly be propelled into the top 40 in his division," said Eye of the Tiger Management’s general manager Antonin Décarie.

Artem Oganesyan’s fight and the bout pitting Ivan Kozlovsky vs. Adam Kipenga, live from Russia, will be broadcast on Punching Grace on May 21, 2021.
