Star Boxing "Rockin' Fights 54" One Month Away

Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing returns to The Paramount in Huntington on Saturday, June 27 for another action-packed night of world-class boxing at Rockin' Fights 54.

Local favorite Long Island bus driver and Haitian sensation Wendy Toussaint defends his USBA Championship in a high-stakes main event. Toussaint is coming off a courageous performance at Madison Square Garden against top contender Austin "Ammo" Williams on the historic Ring VI: Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson card. Toussaint jumped up two weight classes and stepped in on just one day’s notice to save the fight. Now back on home turf at The Paramount, Toussaint looks to remind fans exactly why he remains one of the toughest and most dangerous fighters in the jr. middleweight division.

Also featured is a can’t-miss clash between two Rockin’ Fights fan favorites, as Micky Scala (13-1, 7 KOs) - fighting with deep Brooklyn roots and coming off a sensational first-round knockout win last month, takes on Long Island’s own Zay Flaherty (8-1, 4 KOs) in a throwback-style matchup reminiscent of the old-school Italian vs. Irish rivalries that helped build boxing in New York. With Scala’s ring savvy and Flaherty’s aggressiveness, expect an electric atmosphere and nonstop action when these two rising prospects collide.

Long Island veteran Terell Bostic (18-3, 4 KOs) returns to The Paramount for the first time in seven years, stepping back into the building where he launched his professional career with his first five pro fights. The Wyandanch native will compete in an eight-round showdown, bringing his hometown pride back to the Rockin’ Fights stage as he looks to make a statement in front of his local fans.

The card will also feature the return of US Marine Corps veteran and Hofstra graduate student Peter Latorre (6-0, 6 KOs), who delivered one of the most vicious knockouts of the night at Rockin' Fights 53 and returns looking to make another statement in front of the hometown crowd.

Long Island knockout artist Ralph Clemente (4-0, 4 KOs) is also back in action after his own devastating stoppage victory at RF 53 , adding even more power and excitement to an already loaded lineup.

From championship stakes to local rivalries and highlight-reel knockouts, Rockin' Fights 54 promises another unforgettable night at one of the premier club boxing series in the country.
