The 12th Of Never: Things To Do On An Uncharacteristically Dead
Boxing Weekend |
|
By William Trillo

huge PPV boxing event going down in conjunction with the
September 16th Mexican Independence Day holiday.
With no meaningful or worthwhile PPV boxing events taking place
in Las Vegas this weekend the safe money now is on the Elvis
Presley sighting.

ten great rounds of action for the fans at The Belasco
Theatre on Friday night as they brawled for the vacant

Both fighters bore the marks of battle after the bout
and truthfully it was Diego who was worse for wear.
Pawing at a nasty mouse under his right eye when the
bout came to an end, Diego knew he had won the fight. He
fought hard through the injury all night and in the end
he was on the receiving end of a deserved unanimous

Billy’s Boxing Blog
Under The Big Top |
|
By William Trillo
|
Let’s be honest, by most accounts leading up to
the Shane Mosley vs. Ricardo match-up at The
Forum in Inglewood on Saturday night, this event
looked more like a circus than a boxing
promotion. From what seemed to be staged antics
at the press conferences and all the Tweets in
between any hope for a real show seemed
fruitless at best.
To compound the problem a fight for Los Angeles
bragging rights was going down about 15 minutes
away and the buzz surrounding that one was real.
