Khaosai Galaxy KO’d Sangsung Sithkempet in the 2nd round of a non-title bout. Galaxy’s 2nd pro bout.
1956, New York:
Carlos Ortiz won a 10 round decision over Gale Kerwin in a non-title bout.
1952, Coral Gables, Florida:
Danny Nardico TKO’d Jake LaMotta in the 8th round. Lamotta’s corner stopped this fight after LaMotta was down in the 7th. This fight was of course near the end of Hall of Famer LaMotta’s career.
1941, Vichy, France:
Marcel Cerdan KO’d Robert Seidel in the 3rd round of a non-title bout.

  Selina Barrios Remains Undefeated
Captures NABF Lightweight Title
 
Tonight at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, LA, Selina "Aztec Queen" Barrios (3-0, 1 KO) remained undefeated with a majority decision victory against "Lovely" Lisa Porter (1-1-1), capturing the lightweight NABF title.

  Usyk vs. Briedis Press Conference In Riga  
WBO World Champion Aleksandr Usyk (13-0, 11 KOs) and WBC World Champion Mairis Briedis (23-0, 18 KOs) had their first face-off in Riga before the Ali Trophy semi-final bout in the Latvian capital on January 27th.

“Briedis is a good fighter, but the only thing he has that I want is his belt,” said Usyk. “I am looking forward to fighting in Riga, it’s going to be a great event. I am sure there will be a lot of people coming from Ukraine to support me. People can look forward to an entertaining fight between two world champions both eager to qualify for the final and win the Muhammad Ali Trophy.”

Shawinigan is a city located at few miles of Trois-Rivières.

USA Boxing Nationals Champion Jared Anderson
 
Christmas came early for Jared Anderson, who not only won the heavyweight title at the recent USA Boxing National Championships, the 18-year-old also captured the Most Outstanding Boxer Award in the Elite Division.

Seeded No. 7 in eight-boxer field at The Nationals, Anderson, in order, defeated No. 2 Jesus Flores in the opening round, 5-0, edged No. 3 Adrian Tillman in the semifinals, 3-2, and upset five-time national champion Cam F. Awesome, 5-0, in the championship final.

MONTRÉAL - The Montrealer middleweight David Lemieux is extremely disappointed from the result of his fight with the British southpaw Billy Joe Saunders, but discouraged? Not at all! Lemieux (38-4-0) has the conviction he will back on the winning track and become back world champion before the end of 2018.Saturday evening in the ring of the Bell Place in Laval, a northern suburb of Montréal, Lemieux, a former IBF champion of the world, lost by unanimous decision in 12 rounds this WBO 160 pounds world championship bout. Saunders (26-0-0) promised to his fans to return in England with the WBO belt in his luggage, and he kept his promise. Saunders won by decisive scores of 120-108, 118-110 and 117-111.
