Oscar Early or Floyd
Late
By William Trillo Poster By Bret "The Threat" Newton
Early Friday morning two of my esteemed colleagues asked me if I had put up a prediction yet. When I said no they both chided me for not having an opinion, and even though I am usually wrong, I figured I might as well throw you all my thoughts for Oscar vs. Floyd.
After having heard and seen everything
that everyone has to say and after checking out the fighters
and the camps this week I have come to the conclusion that
this fight will play out one of 2 ways.
It appears that Oscar is going to come
out guns blazing in the hopes that he catches Floyd early,
if he does it could spell curtains right away for Mayweather
who has never faced 154 power. Even if Floyd doesn't get
KO'd right away, the devastation of the pain Oscar could
inflict will ruin Floyd's gameplan and allow Oscar to move
in for the early kill.
The chances are real good though, that
Oscar will find out his 30 something legs just don't move
like they used to, and that his reflexes are now just a tad
off the mark. If that is true then Floyd will pick Oscar
apart early, hurt him many times to the body, and in what
many don't see coming, Floyd will stop Oscar in the late
rounds with a left hook of his own.
There...I did it.
Please don't write to me next week and
tell me I was dead wrong.
In fact the smart money would be on
someone to go pick exactly the opposite of the scenario I
just laid out...then again...stranger things have happened.
