Well another year has come and gone and
if there is one thing that will stick out in the minds
of the astute boxing fan it will be the amount of
promoters who were willing to throw all personal dignity
aside in order to become Al Haymon’s personal
marionette. The list spans most of North America and
includes a who’s who of second rate wannabe’s. The
reasons vary as to why the carnival barkers are willing
to be led around by strings and the speculation is it
has something to do with the lawsuits filed by both Top
Rank and Golden by against Haymon & Premier Boxing
Champions. I will leave it up to you to come up with
your own conclusion.

Nigerian-born cruiserweight contender Olanrewaju
"God's Power" Durodola says he's relieved to have been cleared
of doping allegations made by a discredited Russian
organization.
"They tried to take away what I worked so hard for. I thank God
they were not able to. I am a champion. I did that with my

The last time Dashon Johnson stepped inside a
boxing ring he pulled off an upset by defeating Mike Gavronski
for the WBA-NABA United States Super Middleweight championship.

Normally when the category of KO of the year comes up fight fans
think of those one punch KO’s that render a fighter
incapacitated after one well placed blow. Canelo’s KO of
Kirkland comes to mind right away and the recent KO by Luis
Ortiz over Bryant Jennings was an eye opener as well. As
stunning as these KO’s were they do not make it to the top of my
list.

BROWN, (16-0, 14 KOs), from Chicago. After an impressive amateur
career, where he compiled a 370-20 record, Brown turned
professional in 2012, winning his first three bouts via
first-round knockouts. Following a two-year hiatus, which
included being wounded eight times during three separate
shootings, Brown, under the management of 2007 Boxing Writers
Association of America "Manager of the Year" Cameron Dunkin and
Harvard-educated matchmaker and promoter Chris Middendorf,
embarked on an ambitious eight-month, 13-bout schedule, from May
16 to December 12. Brown, 24, won them all with only two going

WBC Rules In Anti-Doping Investigation |
|
Following an administrative investigation, the
World Boxing Council (WBC) has ruled on petitions from
Olanrewaju Durodola and Mariusz Wach regarding their WBC Silver
Championship contests in Kazan, Russia on November 4, 2015.
After the bouts, allegations were made that the Russian
Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) testing of the "A" Samples of both
boxers taken just after the fights showed positive, such tests
occurring on November 5.

WBC Policy Regarding Anti-Doping Matter |
|
The WBC has adopted a policy not to comment
publicly on anti-doping allegations until the WBC can fully
investigate them and make a correct determination on each
matter. That policy seeks to prevent harm to a boxer that may be
accused without a determination of culpability, or a finding
that the boxer actually committed a violation. The policy also
respects the WBC Constitution, which seeks coordination with the
WBC by member federations and commissions worldwide.
