Floyd Mayweather Jr. hosted an open workout and celebrated the grand opening of Mayweather Boxing Club for the media from his training camp in Las Vegas where he is preparing for his "The World Awaits" May 5 super fight with Oscar De La Hoya.

Pound4Pound was a part of the media in attendance and got some great quotes and pictures for you to check out. It could some as no surprise that Floyd had plenty to say about his upcoming battle with Oscar De La Hoya. Likewise it should come to no surprise to Oscar or anyone else that Floyd will be in tip top shape for the Cinco De Mayo brawl. The workout we witnessed first hand today was impressive and his 25 straight minutes of bag work left many shaking their heads in amazement.

"Everybody is talking about the weight, but weight don't make a fighter great, smarts makes a fighter great, and that's why I am gonna win the fight."

"I've been running 8 miles a day. I know how the whole process works, I have been through this 37 times before."

"I have been pushing myself to the limits, this is one of the biggest fights in boxing history and I want to make sure that I am at my best."

"Everyone is talking about Golden Boy Promotions, De La Hoya may be the quote, unquote, smartest guy out of the ring, but I'm the best in it!!"

When asked why he took the fight Floyd threw it back to the unexacting journalist,
"Why did I take the fight? Why did he take the fight?"

I'm the face of boxing, I'm the best there is and he's gonna find that out May 5th.
