QUÉBEC CITY, Canada —— Yvon Michel, the promoter of the GYM
Group in Montréal, made an agreement with the mayor of Québec
City, Régis Labeaume, concerning the presentation of a unify
WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF light heavyweight championships of the
world in the new Québec City Colisée, a modern and magnificent
arena which will be inaugurated September 15th 2015. Labeaume
hopes his fabulous building will host several rock concerts,
boxing events and a NHL hockey team. Labeaume hopes to
resuscitate the Québec Nordiques by the way of an expansion or a
relocation of an existing NHL team with financial difficulties.

QUEBEC CITY, Canada - The Montrealer southpaw Adonis Stevenson,
who wants absolutely to become the unified light heavyweight
champion of the world in 2015, made another step in that
direction Friday evening in the ring of the Québec City Colisée.
Stevenson (25-1-0) made a fourth consecutive successful defense
of his WBC 175 pounds world championship, in beating his seventh
contender, the Russian Dmitry Sukhotsky (22-3-0), by KO in the
fifth round. Stevenson scored three knockdowns in that bout, the
last one ended the fight.

Adonis Stevenson defended his WBC Light
Heavyweight World Championship for the fourth time with
a devastating fifth-round knockout of Russian challenger
Dmitry Sukhotsky in the main event of SHOWTIME BOXING:
SPECIAL EDITION on Friday at Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec
City, Canada.
Known for his knockouts, the southpaw champion was
patient early, not forcing the action against a
defensive Sukhotsky. When Sukhotsky did decide to punch,
Stevenson was extremely effective with his counter shots
and floored the challenger with a straight left in the
closing seconds of the second round.

QUEBEC City, Canada - No doubt in his mind, the veteran boxing
promoter Don King is considering the Montrealer Bermane Stiverne
as the actual jewel of the heavyweight division. Stiverne became
the successor of the Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko as WBC
heavyweight champion of the world May 10th at the USC Galen
Centre in Los Angeles, in beating the Californian Chris Arreola
(35-4-0) by TKO in the 6th round, for the vacant title. Last
January, Klitschko (45-2-0) gave up the belt to start a
political career in Ukraine.

Tarver (31-6, 22 KOs) wants for Christmas is a signed contract
to fight former two-division world champion David Haye (26-2, 24
KOs), ideally, during the first-quarter of 2015.
Tarver had been sending direct tweets for the past six months to
Haye, who hasn't fought in more than two years, without
receiving a response. Coming off last week's impressive

QUÉBEC CITY - Andre Dirrell has one big dream in mind for 2015:
face again the IBF super middleweight champion of the world, the
British Carl Froch (31-2-0).In 2009 in Nottingham, in front of
the Froch’s fans, Dirrell lost by split decision against the IBF
champion of the word.
According several journalists, it was a very controversial
decision. “I lost by split decision in the Carl Froch’s backyard
in 2009”, said Dirrell
Wednesday in Québec City. “It’s
pretty simple to figure what’s happen over there. Yes, everybody
who is honest knows it was a pure local decision. Everybody,
excepting two of the three judges of the bout, saw I was
deserving to to be the winner. My big dream for 2015: face again
Froch… et beat him again, to return in USA with the IBF belt
around my waist. I will take care of Edwards Friday evening here
in Quebec City, and Froch will be unable to avoid me next spring
or next summer. And if he decides to take his retirement to
avoid me, the IBF championship committee will involved me
automatically in a vacant world bout. I know in my heart I am
deserving to detain this IBF 168 pounds belt world
championship.”

Québec City to visit the historic buildings in the old part of
the city, the second oldest city in North American after Boston.
Sukhotsky (22-2-0) flew from Russia to Québec City for only one
reason: dethrone the Montrealer southpaw Adonis Stevenson
(24-1-0) as WBC light heavyweight champion of the world.
Stevenson will proceed to the fourth defense of his crown Friday
evening in the ring of the Québec City Colisée, and this bout
will be televised by Showtime.
