Hanshaw Camp Is
"All-In" On Jones Offer To Fight |

By William Trillo & Nat Gottlieb
Foto Folly: Bret "The Threat" Newton
Ready and willing to play high stakes poker with Roy Jones
Jr., promoter Gary Shaw and Anthony Hanshaw's trainer, John
Russell, are calling his "bluff," as they put it, for
a fight with their young boxing stud.
After
pricing himself out a Showtime offer to match him up with
Hanshaw (21-0-1, 14 KOs), Jones is now saying he will pay
Hanshaw the same money the network offered, $150,000, to
fight him in his home state of Florida.

Golden Boy Suffers Another Defeat |
|
The U.S. Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit
has denied Golden Boy's emergency motion for injunctive relief
on grounds that Golden Boy did not demonstrate the possibility
of irreparable harm or that the balance of hardship tipped in
their favor.
Bob Arum, Top Rank CEO, stated that "Golden Boy has been firing
bullets wildly to stop the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jorge Solis world
championship match at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on
April 14."
Arum added "it's a disgrace that with all of the money he makes
from fighting that De La Hoya would spend so much time and money
to stop fighters from fighting. He is supposed to promote
fights, not prohibit them."

controversial bout between Klitschko & Brewster will be taking

This will be Klitschko's chance to right the wrong he felt was
done to him in their last bout when he mysteriously all but
passed out on his feet and was stopped by Brewster in round 5 of
a very bizarre fight that saw Wlad lose his chance to pick up
the WBO belt.

Quickest In Garden History |

spectators, who had barely settled into their seats, with the

left uppercut that sent his opponent, Javier Mora, sprawling. It
was all over in 46 seconds of the first round – a record for the

Jacqui Snow's "K.O.'s" |
|
Tuesday Report By "K.O." Jacqui Snow
A little over a year ago, Colombian power-puncher Joel Julio was
a top ten contender and future star of the welterweight
division, but the star went supernova following just one loss: a
drubbing at the hands of Carlos Quintana, a guy he was supposed
to beat. Even though Julio won his next two fights, he's now
relegated to ESPN's Friday Night Fights, where he wasn't even
the main event on last week's card. For the first time in ESPN
history, that honor went to a women's bout. The featured fighter
of the evening was Mary Jo Sanders, undefeated as a
professional, with a record of 24-0 (7 KOs), and considered one
of the premier female fighters in the sport.

Malik Scott Amused By "Kingpin" Johnson Bravado |

In a play on words, the old adage “Watch
what you wish for” came back to bite prospect Kevin “Kingpin”
Johnson (14-0-1, 6 KOs) following a recent post-win challenge
issued to Philadelphia’s Malik Scott (27-0, 10 KOs).
In negotiations between the two fighter
camps, Team Johnson did an apparent “about-face” as their
financial demands far exceeded the customary budget for a ShoBox
event, normally a ploy to act as if you are willing, when
in fact you are not.

Before WBA Cruiserweight Champ Virgil
