The Good The Bad & The Ugly

The Good

A huge congratulations to Ray Beltran for going to Reno, Nevada to become “The Biggest Little Fighter In The World”. His gutty performance over Paulus Moses earned him the WBO Lightweight title. The bloody war gave Beltran his well deserved championship. This is one of the good guys in the sport who has always let his fists do the talking for him in the ring.

The Bad

As much as I respect both Devon Alexander and Victor Ortiz, and that is through both the thick and thin of their illustrious careers, it’s hard to see how this fight was deemed a draw. All credit to both men, but seriously, Alexander should have been given the nod in this slugfest.

The Ugly

There should be zero credit given to Danny Garcia for knocking out the aged and blown up lightweight Brandon Rios. Sorry but this is just another case of Garcia beating up on another guy out of his weightclass, (see Rod Salka). With the victory Garcia has made himself about as relevant as an ipod.
