The Mail Pouch

There is plenty of boxing action this weekend for the fans and our most loyal fan David McGarry wanted to chime in with his thoughts on the battles. He writes:
“There are a few world title fights this weekend. You know Terence Crawford is going to handle Hank Lundy quite easily. You also know Leo Santa Cruz is going to beat Kiko Martinez, although it might be entertaining while it lasts. The best match up by far is Scott Quigg against Carl Frampton in Manchester. Frampton is a very slight favourite, but I think Quigg will win -either on points or by late stoppage. The only thing that makes me slightly doubt my prediction is Quigg looked rather gaunt at the weigh in. His body language was much more positive, though. If you get a chance, watch this fight.”
This is pretty keen insight that I agree with. Quigg vs. Frampton could be the fight of the weekend but don’t count out Crawford vs. Lundy as must see TV. Tune in early for this one, Felix Verdejo is a Puerto Rican fighter with major upside.
